From the hotel it is about 10 to 15 minutes walking to the historical center of the De Rijp. Also within walking distance: the Eilandspolder and Fort Spijkerboor.
The hotel is located halfway in between the North Sea coast and the IJsselmeer coast.
By car it is a short ride to the Beemster Polder and Schermer, Alkmaar, Edam, Volendam, Monnickendam and Purmerend. The farm Irene in Katwoude is definately worth a visit, if you want to see how clogs and cheese are made.
